For the first time, the community will help determine the winners. This new approach is designed to create more engagement, excitement, and shared celebration around the businesses that make a daily impact. Now, customers, neighbors, and community members can play a direct role in recognizing these outstanding organizations.

Urbandale Business of the Year Finalists

For more than 20 years, ATW Training Solutions has supported businesses and employees through professional development programs focused on leadership, communication, and team-building. In addition to its services, the organization has remained actively involved in the Urbandale Chamber through educational sessions, committee work, board service, and community events. Their ongoing engagement reflects a strong commitment to both local businesses and the broader community.
Friedrichs Coffee
A longstanding fixture in Urbandale, Friedrichs Coffee will celebrate its 35th anniversary in 2026. Its location at 86th and Meredith has long served as a gathering place for residents, professionals, and visitors. The business has also expanded its reach to the Des Moines Airport. Over the years, Friedrichs has supported local nonprofits, schools, churches, and community organizations through consistent giving and participation.
