The City and Chamber regularly visit Urbandale businesses to understand their perspective on doing business in the community and we work to remove obstacles to success. We focus on the targeted industries of Advanced Manufacturing, Finance & Insurance, Information Technology & Corporate Services, Warehouse/Distribution & Logistics and Retail.

The Chamber convenes a monthly Economic Development Tour at a selected Urbandale business to provide an opportunity for community leaders to learn about the companies that support Urbandale’s success.

Urbandale has a competitive business climate with the lowest tax rate in the State of Iowa for cities over 15,000 population. We provide resources for business expansion and get the word out about Urbandale’s success through a monthly publication in the Des Moines Business Record.
