The Leadership Team of genYP challenges you to become more involved in our community. We are lucky enough to partner Olmstead Elementary to mentor, read with, guide and support students. Please consider taking some time out of your day to spend with these amazing kids.
Members of the GenYP Community Service Committee structure teams of 4-5 volunteers who spend time reading to students in their adopted classroom. There are a variety of times and days available, and we have a team for you! Volunteering with a team takes as little as 20 minutes. 20 minutes with a student goes a long way to helping impact their attitude and experience in the classroom. Most of the volunteering involves listening to students as they read and helping them sound out words and put together sentences. It is easy, but helps them develop good habits and become stronger readers
And as Nelson Mandela says; “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
Thank you to our genYP Investors who support the entire genYP program for the year
